Getting a Project Started

Starting a new web development project can be a daunting task. So many things to consider – so many things to organise. Whilst we certainly need you help when it comes to providing copy and images we try and make this process as hassle-free as possible.

For most new projects we begin by setting up a shared development folder in the cloud – usually utilising DropBox.

dropboxDropbox is a free online tool that makes it easy for you and us to gather all the files and images for your new website project together in one secure, shared folder. You add an image to the shared folder and it automatically downloads to us. We add a help file to the shared folder and it automatically downloads to you straight-away (including a notification) – this is called syncing. If need be we can also invite other collaborators to share the folder too.

In the shared folder we add a design brief questionnaire, website map file (so we can map out the hierarchy of the new website), create an image repository for logos, feature images etc. We provide web page templates which offer advice on how to provide content.

We also provide a timeline for bigger projects and set-up our QC team to eradicate any issues with your new website
